iOS share of smartphone purchasing in Australia has seen a decline of 2.9% from 46% in the three months ending December 2017 to 43.1% in the three months ending December 2018, according to the latest global report of OS shares of smartphone purchasing from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.

Why it is worth upgrading to the new iPhone XR

Anyone who knows me understands that I am not a moronic cult member who eagerly lines up to spend his (or his parents) hard-earned money each time Apple makes a new product announcement. That said, one feature mentioned in today’s announcement of the new iPhone XS and XR phones has made me seriously consider upgrading.

Optus doubles up on new data plans

Optus has upped the ante in the battle for customers in the hotly contested mobile market, launching new double data offers on selected My Plan Plus handset plans and selected mobile broadband plans.

Production of the iPhone X will be cut by half from the 40 million units planned for the first three months of 2018, a report claims.

iPhone production issues hit Foxconn profits

Taiwan company Foxconn Technology has recorded a 39% drop in profit for the quarter ending September compared to the corresponding period a year ago, a fall that appears to be attributable in part to production difficulties with the iPhone.

Apple's free and fun Clips 2.0 app for iOS, which makes creating and sharing fun videos on iPhone or iPad, has just received a very cool update for all compatible devices, plus some special iPhone X exclusive features.
